If you have entered through the Tower of the Lions main entrance, you are now standing on the lower floor of the Alcázar Castle. On the left you will find some of the constructions that make up the castle while on the right you will find the gardens. In the next stage of the tour, visitors pass the baths constructed under Alphonse XI for his beloved doña Leonor and then go through a small courtyard which was used as a cesspit during the period in which Alcázar was used as a prison. The Patio Morisco (Moorish Courtyard), influenced by Mudejar Muslim art, can also be visited. It is located on the western side of the building and contains some preserved remains of the old palace structure.
The Ladies' Patio is also located on the lower floor of the castle, but it cannot be visited since it is currently closed to the public.
