The four towers of the Alcazar have been constantly renovated. The towers are, beginning from the northwest, the Lions’ Tower with a square floor-plan and an inner hall covered with an octagonal groin vault; the Tribute Tower, in the northeast corner, with an octagonal floor-plan in the ground floor and a hexagonal layout on the first floor; the Tower of the Pigeon, in the southwest corner, reconstructed following a square floor-plan in the middle of the 20th century and the Tower of the Inquisition, in the southeast corner, with a circular floor-plan at the base and a polygonal shape on the outside.
