This garden is located close to the higher pools and the Moorish Courtyard. It is older than the other parts of the garden, as it already existed in middle of the 19th Century on the site of the old Inquisitors’ Garden. This explains its uniqueness in relation to the other section of the gardens.
In this part of the garden, the vegetation is taller and denser, creating narrower paths. This section of the garden is in the shade during a good part of the day, thanks to its close proximity to the building. The top of the orange trees and its lower location in relation to the higher pools lend it an intimate atmosphere, making it different from the rest of the garden.
